About

While doing research in Organic Chemistry for 25+ years, and teaching it for 13 as a college professor, I learned that it has a bad, though kinda cool, reputation of being a very difficult subject – "the impossible discipline", second only to alcohol in causing people to drop out of college.

Luckily, I was blissfully unaware of that when I was learning it, and literally did it just for fun. So did plenty of people around me. Only after watching “Good Will Hunting” I discovered that we weren't supposed to do that, as, apparently, “nobody would learn organic chemistry for fun”.

Well, after all these years of teaching it in college I kind of started to understand what that sentiment is about.

Now I want to bring back the fun.
