Organic Chemistry for Fun

So, what is fun about Chemistry? To the very least these three things:

Chemistry in action is literally a real-life magic. It can make things glow, shift, disappear, change colors and shapes. Some of them look like science-fiction. Yet others can be vicious, creepy, or mind-bending. For instance:

Richard Feynman called it "fun to imagine" when talking about physics. It's just as fun to imagine processes of Organic chemistry, with a bonus that they describe the things we already closely relate to: colors, tastes, smells, touch sensations, food getting cooked, etc. After all, organic chemisry is what life is made of.

History of chemistry is rich with stories of discovery, unexpected pifalls, opportunities, hilarious mistakes, trials, even drama, if that's your thing. There is no shortage of surprizes, sudden plot twists, and intuition defying turns. In addition to stories about chemistry, many of chemitsry's objects and processes are sort of mythincal creatures themselves, with a life of their own. One can even derive life lessons from chemistry.

And, of course, you can have fun with, and around it.
